Worm Bins and Rainbarrels for Sale!
POWER TO THE GREEN, DUDE!
Recycle your kitchen scraps and reuse your rainwater with worm bins and rain barrels built by Decatur High School students at the Oakhurst Community Garden Project.
Use the worm bins to make natural plant fertilizer from kitchen scraps and newspaper! It's fun, cheap, and eco-friendly, keeping biodegradable waste out of the waste stream.
Use the rain barrels to save rain water to use for your outdoor watering needs. In this time of severe drought every drop of water counts! Purchase your own rain barrel to collect rainwater from your roof and gutters.
Worm Bin Prices
Large bins (outdoor, doubles as garden bench) - $150
Small bins (indoor or outdoor) - $40
Rain Barrel Prices
50-gallon barrel - $120
All proceeds go to the students who build the bins and barrels as part of the Gr-O-Town Entrepreneurs, a group of Decatur High students who work at Oakhurst Garden twice a week to learn sustainable gardening and entrepreneurship skills.
